There is less sweeping and carpet beating on the street is no longer allowed.

These are the most important changes to the new ordinance on cleaning public roads, which the municipal council has now approved.

Kottgeisering - The ordinance was revised on the recommendation of the municipal council because the legal basis had changed.

"We took this as an opportunity in the administration to make editorial adjustments and, above all, to change the layout of the streets," Mayor Andreas Folger (citizens' association) reported to the municipal council members.

As a result, it no longer seemed appropriate that the ordinance allowed “objects to be dusted off or knocked out”.

The ban on storing sewage sludge on the street was also canceled due to lack of topicality.

"The ban on pouring out cleaning water on the street is still valid," said Folger after observing this from time to time.

Depending on the sewer system, this water may flow untreated into the Amper via streams.

Streets are reclassified

For the residents of Dorfstrasse and Jesenwanger Strasse as well as Villenstrasse Nord and Süd, the re-division of the streets means that they only have to sweep a 30 centimeter wide roadside strip regularly (in addition to the sidewalk).

To date, this was still intended up to the middle of the street, as is still the case for all other streets.

New regulation applies from March

The administration justifies this with the increased volume of traffic and the associated dangers during cleaning.

This was previously only intended for Ammerseestrasse and Grafrather Strasse, i.e. the through-town on district road FFB 5.

The new ordinance, which not only shifts the cleaning of streets and footpaths, but also the clearing and gritting obligation between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. on to citizens, is to come into force on March 1 and will be valid for 20 years.
