Poll: Big dip in Biden's popularity

A new opinion poll showed that the popularity of US President Joe Biden fell dramatically to 48.9%, to become, just a year after his presidency, one of the least popular presidents in the United States.

The American newspaper The Hill reported that the poll conducted by the Gallup International Foundation for Research and Studies found that the approval rate for Biden's performance fell to 48.9 percent from 57 percent last August.

The poll indicated that Biden's approval rating began to take a negative turn in conjunction with the chaotic US withdrawal from Afghanistan and the failure of his administration to deal with the Corona crisis and vaccinations against it.

Among other reasons that contributed to the decline in Biden's popularity, according to analysts, many of his proposals related to American internal affairs in Congress stumbled with obstruction from members of his Democratic Party, as well as the return of the Corona virus outbreak in record numbers.

And another poll conducted by "CBS News" in conjunction with the "YouGov" Research Center showed yesterday that half of Americans confirmed their feelings of dissatisfaction and frustration with Biden's presidency, while 40 percent of them said that the latter's term made them feel "stressed."
