Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that his country's and Iran's support for Syria in its war on terrorism enabled it to bypass terrorist threats on its soil.

The Russian president explained that with regard to bilateral relations between the two countries, huge projects are being implemented and work is taking place in several fields, as the volume of trade exchange between them increased by 38 percent during the past year, noting the development of relations between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union and the ongoing work to establish a free trade zone.
In turn, Raisi stressed the importance of cooperation between Iran and Russia in the international arena, indicating that the Iranian side handed Russia a project for strategic cooperation for a period of 20 years.
The Iranian president stressed that his country will not stop developing because of Western threats or sanctions, stressing at the same time that Tehran is now making efforts to lift the sanctions imposed on it.
Raisi considered that Moscow and Tehran can cooperate in the face of unilateral American steps at the international level, and said: We do not have any restrictions in Iran on developing and expanding relations with friendly Russia. These relations will not be short-term and tactical, but will be permanent and strategic.
In a statement to reporters before leaving Tehran for Moscow, Raisi had confirmed that cooperation between Iran and Russia guarantees security in the region and puts an end to the approach of unilateralism that some forces are trying to impose, noting that his visit to Russia could be a turning point for relations between the two countries due to its size in the political and economic fields. and commercial.
