Rehabilitation of schools damaged by terrorism in Salamiyah countryside

Hama, SANA- The Hama Education Directorate has completed the rehabilitation works of schools damaged by terrorism in several towns and villages belonging to the region.

The Hama Education Directorate has completed the rehabilitation of schools affected by terrorism in several towns and villages belonging to the Salamiyah area in the eastern countryside of the governorate, to be put into service as of the beginning of the second semester of the current academic year.

The supervisor of the restoration work in the Salamiyah Educational Complex, Engineer Alaa Al-Ali, told SANA reporter that the selection of the schools came after a comprehensive tour of the various schools in the area to determine which of them has the highest priority for rehabilitation and restoration, with an assessment of the damage caused to them as a result of terrorism, indicating that the rehabilitated schools were concentrated in my town. Al-Saboura and Burri Al-Sharqi in the eastern countryside of Salamiyah.

Al-Ali explained that the restoration included doors and windows, painting walls and maintenance of electrical networks, noting the importance of this step in encouraging people to return to their areas from which they left as a result of what they suffered from terrorist attacks.

In turn, the director of the Martyr Wael Al-Daman School in the town of Al-Saboura, Abeer Zaidan, pointed out that their school is the oldest in the region, as its foundation dates back to the forties of the last century, and that it has been targeted during the past years with dozens of shells by terrorists, noting that the administrative and educational cadres in it will launch awareness campaigns for students. To increase their interest in the school and take care of its furniture after it was repaired and restored.
