The plague is raging in most countries in the world, morbidity rates are rising and although the sky is open, Ben Gurion Airport is almost empty.

By comparison, even in the days of the Corona and when the sky was open, the numbers hovered around 40-50 thousand passengers a day.
This is a drop of hundreds of percent in recent times and travel agencies confirm that the demand for vacations abroad in the near term is very low.
Nir Mazor, VP of Aviation Relations: "At the immediate level, traffic is indeed very low, often the same as on closing days. At the same time, the interest and level of bookings really does not match this reality "We're looking at what's going on in the world with our suppliers and the hotels we work with, some of which are already full for the period of high demand in July and August."

Tali Noy, ISTA's VP, points to a similar trend: "We believe that as early as next week we will see more and more people who have recovered from the corona variant and will simply want to go abroad immediately.
A lot of Israelis are finishing the isolation that is even shortening these days and are begging to fly.
Already this week we are seeing a change of trend in orders, we estimate that there is a connection to the growing number of recoveries.
"We are seeing demand for ski holidays, vacations in Dubai, the US and more. At the same time, we hope that in early February we will be after the big wave and see the number of passengers increase significantly.
