Seine-et-Marne: a drunk pedestrian mowed down by a car in Mortcerf

Imagine a drunken man walking in the middle of an unlit road on a foggy Sunday evening in January.

So when a motorist appeared at the bend of the night, the shock was inevitable.

The scene took place last Sunday evening around 9:30 p.m. on the D 216, outside the town of Mortcerf.

A resident of Faremoutiers took the wheel to get to work.

Suddenly, his Hyundai hits a man on the road.

To the gendarmes, he explained that he had not seen him.

Immediately, help arrived and succeeded in resuscitating the pedestrian.

Seriously injured, this 48-year-old resident of Mortcerf was evacuated by the Smur to the Kremlin-Bicêtre hospital (Val-de-Marne) with a vital prognosis.

Another serious accident this Tuesday in Quiers

The first analyzes allowed the soldiers to know a little more about the circumstances of the accident.

Indeed, the injured had a blood alcohol level of 1.5 g per liter of blood.

And shortly before the collision, the gendarmes had received a call from a motorist who had just miraculously avoided a pedestrian who had found himself in front of his bonnet.

The time for a patrol to intervene, it is therefore the motorist in a Hyundai who could not avoid it.

This 40-year-old man, whose blood alcohol and narcotics tests were negative, was questioned by the gendarmes of the autonomous territorial brigade of Mortcerf, who are continuing their investigation.

This Tuesday, another serious accident occurred on the roads of the department.

In the early afternoon, a collision between two vehicles occurred in Quiers, at the crossroads of the D 215 and the D 201. According to the first elements of the investigation, four of the seven people involved were injured and supported by the firefighters and the Samu dispatched on the spot.
