The committee concerned with following up on violations of the Syrian Company for the Storage and Distribution of Petroleum Products (Fuel) seized a private fuel station in the Al-Marah area in Damascus countryside for selling 166,000 liters of diesel outside the electronic card.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources, SANA obtained a copy of it, the committee seized the station for violating the monopoly of quantities of diesel with the aim of trading and selling it on the black market and depriving citizens of their allocations.
According to the statement, the amount of mazut monopolized by the station was about 7,000 liters, and after matching with the electronic card department, it was found that there were 166,000 liters of the substance sold outside the card.
The ministry indicated that it had taken the necessary measures and periodically requested the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection to take the necessary measures against the violating station.
