The Syrian-Algerian Brotherhood Committee in the People's Assembly discussed with the Ambassador of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, Lahcen Tohamy, the prospects for cooperation between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance them to serve the common interests.
The head and members of the committee valued Algeria's supportive stances for Syria, especially in its confrontation with the terrorist war, stressing the importance of strengthening economic relations and encouraging Algerian capital to invest in Syria, expressing their hope that there will be mutual parliamentary visits between the two countries.
For his part, Ambassador Tohamy affirmed his country's continued support for Syria in all international forums, stressing the necessity of non-interference in its internal affairs, and that the solution to its crisis should be purely Syria, stressing the importance of Syria's return to its usual Arab role.
The Algerian ambassador pointed to the possibility of establishing Algerian-Syrian partnerships in the textile and medicine sectors, stressing the readiness of Algerian companies to contribute to the reconstruction of Syria, which has begun to regain its health and strength.
