The Traffic Department of the Ministry of Interior announced that some roads in the governorates of Damascus countryside, Hama, Lattakia, Tartous, Sweida and Quneitra are impassable or difficult to pass due to the fall and accumulation of snow and the formation of ice and thick fog.

The Traffic Department indicated in its bulletin this evening that all roads in the Damascus Countryside Governorate are passable, except for the “Asal Al Ward Al Jubba” and “Asal Al Ward Al Rankos” roads in Yabroud are impassable due to the accumulation of snow and the roads of “Yabrod Al Jubba” and “Durbel Arna, Qasim Al Raymah” in Qatana and other roads. Sergaya district, Bloudan district, and Hurayrah village are difficultly passable due to the accumulation of snow.

The directorate stated that the Damascus-Homs road was opened in both directions after the completion of the repair of the tension line, as it had previously diverted the road from both sides due to the line being cut off due to weather conditions.

In Hama, all roads are impassable except for “Beit Yashout al-Tamazah”, “Gorin Slunfeh” and “Shatah Jubbet Bargal” with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow, and the roads of “Qardah Ain al-Krum”, “Masyaf al-Qadmous” and “Masyaf al-Hiluni” and “Masyaf Wadi al-Ayoun” and Masyaf Al Shiha is impassable due to the accumulation of snow.

In Lattakia, the roads of “Snelfeh broadcasting station” and “Snelfeh broadcasting station Goren” in Al-Haffah and “Jobbet Burgal Al-Ghab Road” in Qardaha are impassable due to the accumulation of snow and ice formation, and the “Dalih Ma’rin Batmoush” road is impassable and the roads of “Al-Daliyeh Wadi Al-Qalaa” are impassable. And “Al-Dalia, Beit Anah in Bashtasha,” “Hammam Al-Qarahleh in Satwir Kharayeb Salem,” and “Beit Yashout Al-Ghab Al-Ghab Bashili Al-Sha’ara” highway is difficult due to the accumulation of snow. Other than that, all roads are passable.

In Tartous, all the governorate’s roads are passable except for “Al-Shindkhah Beit Gash”, “Sheikh Ali Al-Majdal Misyat”, “Al-Jadeedah Beit Gach” and “Al-Raqma Al-Majdal Masyaf” are impassable due to snowfall, in addition to the fact that all roads leading to the Qadmous area are passable with difficulty due to heavy snowfall. snow.

All roads in As-Suwayda Governorate are impassable, except for those leading to Salkhad area, with difficulty due to the formation of thick fog, and the “Shahba Namira Ghayda Namrah Tema” road is impassable due to the accumulation of snow and ice formation.

As for the Quneitra governorate, the “Jabbata al-Khashab-Taranga-Had-Ain al-Tineh” road is impassable due to the accumulation of snow, while the rest of the roads in the governorate are passable.

The Traffic Department advises drivers to exercise caution and caution during the prevailing weather conditions, especially during the formation of ice or frost, fog and precipitation, and the need to ensure the technical readiness of the vehicle, including the effectiveness of the brakes, windshield wipers, fog eliminators, front and rear lights, vehicle battery, safety of tires, and adherence to the signs that specify speeds and gradually reduce speed on Turns and slopes, maintain a true safe distance with other vehicles, and avoid distracting behaviors such as using a mobile phone or reading.

The Traffic Department allocated the numbers 5422703 and 5411365 to inquire about the condition of the roads.
