A recent study published by the British Journal Of Ophthalmology suggests that the retina may provide an easy and non-invasive way to determine the true biological age of our body, which does not always reflect our chronological age.
The study found that there was a 2% increased risk of death for each year of difference between a person's actual age and the oldest biological age identified in the eye.
