Al-Quds International Foundation in Syria, in cooperation with the Syrian Plastic Artists Union, launched an annual competition entitled Al-Quds Prize for Fine Arts.
The conditions for applying for the competition, of which SANA received a copy, stated that the participating work should be either a painting or a sculptural block whose theme relates to the city of Jerusalem as a cultural and civilized metropolis.
The submission for the competition begins at the headquarters of the Syrian Plastic Artists Union from the 20th of this January to the 20th of next April, provided that the work is not participating in another competition and that the artist who owns the work is a member of the union.
The conditions of the competition set the size of the participating painting at 120 cm x 100 cm, provided that a specialized committee is formed to select the winning work by the Union of Fine Artists.
The winning work will receive a financial prize of one million Syrian pounds, and the result will be announced in an exhibition dedicated to the participating works, to be held in the spring of 2022.
