The teenager who was arrested on Monday and charged with the murder of his ex-girlfriend in Houston, Texas, was released after posting $250,000 bail on Wednesday.
Frank Deleon Jr., 17, is accused of
shooting 15-year-old Diamond Alvarez 22 times in the back
while she was walking her dog near her home.
He was detained in the Harris County jail, from where he was released after posting bail, according to ABC 13. Among the conditions for his release is that he carry a GPS surveillance device, follow a curfew and not go to the school.

Alvarez's murder occurred after nine o'clock at night on January 11 in the 15400 block of Park Manor Street, near her home, where there was a field that was used as a neighborhood park, and
to which the teenager took a walk .

Peanut, the house pet, actually returned home alone after the murder.
A moment earlier, Alvarez's family had heard gunshots and worriedly went looking for her.
Anna Machado, mother of the teenager, found her daughter's lifeless body in the park.
He tried to revive her
with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, but it was too late.

Machado was confident that the court would not allow the alleged murderer to be released on bail: "He does not even deserve a high bail. He killed my daughter," he said before knowing the amount of the payment.
Court documents indicate that Deleon, who began another relationship while he was with Alvarez, had "tried to pack his bags to run away" but was arrested beforehand.
Machado confirmed that, hours before his daughter went to the park, Deleon had sent a text message asking him to meet.

The mother added that she
never saw any red flags in the boy
, although her daughter was always crying for him and the two "went back and forth" in the relationship.
These days the family has been watching Alvarez at an improvised altar with candles, stuffed animals and balloons, installed near the place where the young woman died.
Funeral service
is scheduled for Friday at 11 a.m. in Houston.
