A new vocational school for child care in the district, the construction of the Poing high school and the expansion of the Kirchseeon high school are to be tackled.

This was announced by District Administrator Robert Niedergesäß on Tuesday, January 18th.

District

– In September 2023, the new state vocational school for child care in the Ebersberg district is scheduled to start operations. The administrative district is responsible for material expenses, and the Free State is responsible for the staff. District Administrator Robert Niedergesäß (CSU) announced this to our newspaper on Tuesday and called the goal "sporty". "An ambitious goal. But it can be done.” So far, however, no location has been decided.

The only thing that is clear is that the facility, originally planned together with the planned vocational school in Grafing-Bahnhof, could probably be built in advance independently of this project.

In the past, there was talk of a total of around 100 students in the plans.

Now the goal is to start with two classes at the beginning.

Temporary “forerunner classes” could also be formed.

You don't need your own school building for this.

Niedergesäß also spoke of "decoupling in time".

Decision on vocational school or high school before the summer break

In principle, the approval of the child care school was announced at the beginning of December last year as "another attractive training opportunity close to home". It is also clear that the day-care centers are not only lacking staff in the district. "We are particularly pleased about this approval, not least because it is a first building block and another positive signal for the planned vocational school center in our district," said Niedergesäß at the time.

There is also movement in the debate about other schools in the district. With the meetings of the responsible committees of the district council in March, feasibility studies for the new construction of the Poing high school and the expansion of the Kirchseeon high school are to be launched. According to Niedergesäß, a decision as to whether the vocational school in Grafing-Bahnhof or the high school in Poing should be built first should be made before the summer break. Both projects at the same time are probably not possible for financial reasons. There should be more clarity by the 2023 budget debates in autumn at the latest, according to district finance chief Brigitte Keller. The decisions on the Kirchseeon high school, which was planned as a G 8 facility and is to be run as a nine-stage school, are independent of the Grafing/Poing balance, it said on Tuesday.
