Due to the tense Corona situation, the first meeting of the new year, it was the meeting of the construction, transport and environment committee, took place in hybrid form.

One thing is certain: the city council will also return to the city hall for its meetings.

Some modifications are necessary for this.

Tegernsee - A mixer, a laptop, a loudspeaker, lots of WiFi technology, countless meters of cable and an IT specialist who gets everything up and running: on Monday evening, the conference room in Tegernsee town hall resembled a recording and imaging studio.

Due to the tense Corona situation, the first meeting of the new year, it was the meeting of the construction, transport and environment committee, took place in hybrid form.

There had already been a first test run last year.

Two councilors and the manager were connected online, other councilors participated in the meeting at home on the screen out of interest.

You need a professional for picture and sound.

Mayor Johannes Hagn

After the meeting, Mayor Johannes Hagn (CSU) takes stock.

"There's still a problem at one point or another," says Hagn, who actually wanted to do the technical work with staff from the town hall.

Due to the illness of the persons entrusted with this task, this task is now being taken over by an external company.

"We were glad that she was there," said the head of town hall, "because, as it turned out, you need a professional for picture and sound."

Hybrid sessions: Online participants are responsible for their own technology

The most important point for the mayor: "The course of the meeting must be secured and guaranteed at all times." It must not happen that decisions become invalid due to technical breakdowns.

According to Hagn, the Ministry of the Interior makes clear specifications.

For example, that the council table must be visible to all online participants at all times and that each participant must always be easy to understand.

As far as the technology of the participants at home is concerned, everyone must ensure that it works on their own.

The administration is not in debt.

With the tablet that the councils have and another device for the meeting documents, participation is easy to manage.

City Council in Tegernsee: Conversions in the meeting room

As far as the following meetings are concerned, these should no longer take place in the church Quirinal as before, but in the town hall. For example, the next public city council meeting, which is scheduled for Tuesday, February 1, at 6:30 p.m. The previous meeting table is to be extended by 1.60 meters to ensure the distances between the 16 councilors plus Hagn at the top and other administrative employees. Plastic partitions are to be installed between the squares, and the air cleaning devices, which are already available for the individual offices in the town hall, are to be set up in the boardroom for each meeting. The FFP2 mask requirement should continue to apply to everyone in the hall, and a negative test is also necessary, even for those who have been vaccinated, recovered or boosted.

Hagn says he cannot yet give any figures on the costs of all the measures.

"However, several thousand euros will come together to set up all the technology."

The city wants to remain in this mode for its numerous meetings until the summer holidays.

Converting the meeting room beforehand, as is already being discussed, does not make sense for the time being, says Hagn.

On Monday evening, he not only chaired the session as usual, but also personally checked the test results at the entrance.
