Ludwig Grundner from the Neufahrner Adventsstandl team has now donated 6,000 euros to the welfare center.

There was no stand at all this year.

Neufahrn

- The team from the Advent stand really didn't make the decision lightly, but then they had to capitulate to the high incidence of corona in December: the popular stand, an institution in the pre-Christmas period on the Neufahrn market square, also had to be canceled in 2021 due to corona .

(By the way: everything from Neufahrn and the district is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Since 2006, Ludwig Grundner's volunteer Standl team has been selling bratwurst rolls, mulled wine, children's punch, stollen and gingerbread on ten evenings before Christmas.

The proceeds - in 2019 it was a handsome sum of 22,000 euros - is traditionally donated.

The Standl team had to accept the renewed cancellation due to Corona.

However, this did not mean that the charitable use would be completely cancelled.

Under the motto "Donations instead of working", Ludwig Grundner collected from everyone who otherwise made their work available to the Advent stand free of charge.

The local companies Edelhuber, Kahlert, Tektura and Wölfl also took part.

The mayor described this commitment as "particularly remarkable"

Grundner was able to hand over a donation check for 6,000 euros to the Neufahrn social center on Monday. Mayor Franz Heilmeier praised Grundner's commitment to a fundraising campaign as "particularly remarkable" despite the unusual Advent stand. After all, it's not just about the donation amount, but also about setting an example for voluntary commitment - even in difficult times.

Helmut Hinterberger, chairman of the social center, gratefully accepted the donation and explained that the "social center was grateful for every donation".

In the past, for example, the cars for mobile care were co-financed with the donations generated by the Adventsstandl team.

In the last two years in particular, a lot has changed due to Corona.

Loss of income was compensated by investment savings in order to deliberately avoid savings in the care offering and employees.

Hinterberger and the team at the social center “appreciate” the charitable commitment of the Neufahrner Advent stand all the more, even in times of a pandemic.

In 2022 there should finally be an Advent stand again

Ludwig Grundner himself is already turning his attention to December 2022. Then he and his team would like to finally set up the Advent standl again on the Neufahrn market square - and all of this for a good cause, of course.
