The seven-day incidence in Schleswig-Holstein has reached almost 900: The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants reported within a week rose to 896.1 on Thursday - after 844.9 the day before.

This emerges from the data from the state registration office in Kiel.

A week earlier, the seven-day incidence was 664.3.

Kiel – The number of new corona infections in Schleswig-Holstein is at a similar level for the third day in a row: 5415 cases were reported on Thursday – after 5459 on Wednesday and 5663 on Tuesday.

According to the Robert Koch Institute early Wednesday morning, Schleswig-Holstein continued to have the fourth highest seven-day incidence in Germany after Bremen, Berlin and Hamburg.

The hospitalization incidence, which is important for corona measures and indicates how many corona patients per 100,000 people came to clinics within a week, rose again - to 5.87 (Wednesday: 5.05).

There were 315 patients suffering from Covid-19 in the hospitals (+3).

The number of Covid-19 patients in intensive care units remains at 58, 38 of them were ventilated (+1).

There were four more corona deaths within one day.

The total number of corona patients who died in the pandemic is now 1932.

In two cities and three districts, the seven-day incidence is now above the 1000 threshold: in the Stormarn district at 1161.3, in the Pinneberg district at 1125.6, in the Segeberg district at 1108.6 and in Kiel at 1086.4 and Lubeck at 1047.5.

The Dithmarschen district now has the lowest incidence in Schleswig-Holstein at 497.6.
