Deputy State Attorney Shlomo Lemberger said today (Thursday) that any plea agreement with opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu "must include disgrace."
This is the first statement by a source in the State Attorney's Office about the contacts in the plea deal.
At the Southern District Attorneys' Conference in Eilat, Advocate Lemberger said: "It is inconceivable that such an indictment, or as it will remain after all the cuts, will remain without disgrace.
Anyone who understands disgrace and anyone who has ever dealt with a ruling with disgrace, understands that it is inconceivable that in such acts there will be no disgrace.
"I did not say that he deserves disgrace, I said that if he is convicted either in the entire indictment or in a reduced indictment - it is inconceivable that there will be no disgrace."

Netanyahu discussed a plea deal with his defense team yesterday.
In recent days, the ombudsman has demanded that the threshold for service work be raised to 6 to 9 months.
Despite this, the prosecution team is preparing to amend the indictment, if this is aided, and Netanyahu's defense team is working to convince him that there will be no better deal.
