Austria decides to make corona vaccination compulsory from the age of 18

Austria was the first country in Europe to pass compulsory vaccinations for its citizens. Unvaccinated people have until mid-March to be immunized. There are only a few exceptions.

In Austria, everyone over the age of 18 will have to be vaccinated against the corona virus in the future.

A corresponding draft law by the conservative-green federal government was passed by the parliament in Vienna with the required simple majority.

137 MPs voted in favor of the law, 33 against.
