Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Education Minister Yifat Shasha-Bitton and Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz agreed tonight (Thursday) that the isolations in the education system will be eliminated next Thursday.

According to the proposed outline, all children aged 0-18, including vaccinated and unvaccinated, will be able to be released from isolation in case of contact with a verified patient.

This, after undergoing a series of antigen tests on the first, third and fifth day after exposure, provided they did not begin to develop symptoms.

The tests of children in early childhood will be the responsibility of the parents. In the schools, the tests will be performed by the corona trustees, within the walls of the institutions. The question that still remains open is whether unvaccinated children will need to undergo an institutional antigen test, similar to unvaccinated adults, or whether all of the tests will be home-made.

The new layout is specifically designed to protect preschoolers, who are not eligible to be vaccinated and who frequently go into isolation. This is despite the fact that according to studies, children at these ages who become infected are usually only with a mild illness.

The outline currently used in the education system is similar to the outline that exists in the rest of the economy, in which vaccinated people are entitled to be released from isolation.

However, at the age of 0-5 it is not possible to get vaccinated, and the number of verified in this stratum is very large and causes many to go into isolation, even though they do not feel the symptoms as much.

Three weeks ago, the green class outline that reduced the number of isolations was abolished, but was in dispute between the Ministries of Education and Health and was therefore not extended.

The new layout is an upgrade of the old one, and is different in that it applies to all ages, regardless of the color of the traffic light of the locality where the students live.
