Hit star Ireen Sheer only confirmed her career end in November.
A few months later, the 72-year-old received a terrible diagnosis: thrombosis of the eye.
Berlin – In Florian Silbereisen's hit show, Ireen Sheer told the viewers on site, as well as in front of the TV sets, that she would end her career.
The news came as a surprise to many of her fans – but the 72-year-old also explained that she now wants to enjoy her free time more with her husband.
Without any work.
"When it's at its best, then you should go.
That's how I imagined it," she said in the hit show "The Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights".
She promised her mother years ago that she would.
But now there is great concern for the singer – she is in the hospital.

Neurologists diagnosed a thrombosis behind her right eye, as reported by the

Her husband also said in an interview: "A few days ago, Ireen's eye suddenly swelled up.
She saw everything twice, got a bad headache.
I drove her to the clinic," says Klaus Kahl.
