Eleven cities have one sad thing in common.
In 2020, they exceeded the bar of 1,000 thefts or assaults in public transport, according to data from the Ministry of the Interior.
In other words, it is those whose buses, metros or trams are the most affected by the scourge of delinquency.
To assess the real level of danger to which each user is concretely confronted, we have chosen to classify these municipalities according to the ratio of the number of thefts and assaults per 1000 inhabitants.
This seems to us the fairest way to compare them.
The data also shows that the list of cities that have exceeded the 1,000 assault mark has been reduced, compared to 2019. This fall in the number of facts observed is obviously linked to the two periods of confinement .
