There was a serious accident on Germeringer Strasse on Wednesday.

The Gautinger fire brigade had to disassemble the car of a 28-year-old, after which the woman had to be taken to the hospital.

Gauting/Krailling – A car driver (28) was seriously injured in a serious accident on Germeringer Straße around 800 meters behind the Gauting town sign shortly before 6 a.m. yesterday. The Gautinger fire brigade dismantled the car so that the emergency doctor and paramedics could gently rescue the woman from the wreck.

The young woman from Dasing had been driving her Toyota Yaris from Gauting in the direction of Pentenrieder Straße/KIM. "Probably due to inappropriate speed or a driving error on a snow-covered road, she came off the road on a straight stretch to the right and drove head-on into a tree," reported Gauting's police chief Andreas Ruch. The engine block of the small car was pushed into the vehicle by the impact. The 28-year-old was not really trapped, but when the fire brigade arrived, the emergency doctor asked for the car to be dismantled – which the fire service did immediately and almost completely cut off one side of the car. The woman was taken to a Munich hospital with serious injuries.

Ruch explained that her car was a total loss and put it at around 8,000 euros.

The wreck had to be recovered by crane.

The route was closed until around 7.40 a.m., the fire brigade redirected.

Ruch: "Some parents who wanted to bring their children to the campus in their cars waited at the KIM until the connecting road was closed again."

According to Commander Alex Jung, the fire brigade, with 17 men on duty, was initially sent elsewhere because the detector was obviously unfamiliar with the area - they were to go to Grubmühler Feld.

However, a comrade had noticed where the accident had actually occurred and informed his colleagues - so the emergency services drove there immediately.
