Driving on many routes in the Upper Galilee and the Golan Heights is dangerous to travel • The police asked the drivers not to drive on these roads unnecessarily

Due to the stormy weather, ice and snow have accumulated on a number of roads mainly in the northern region.

Due to this, the police announced this morning (Thursday) that some of the arteries are blocked until the ice thaws and also asked the drivers not to drive on these roads unnecessarily.

On the roads leading to the city of Safed, there is an accumulation of ice layer, with an emphasis on axis 8867, axis 8865 between Dalton and Gush Halav, axis 886, a kind of olive tree in the direction of Dalton and Road 89 and the Mount Meron area.

There is an accumulation of snow and ice on the roads leading to the village of Majdal Shams and the Hermon site.

From the Armored Junction to a restaurant and on Route 98 north towards Elrom there is an accumulation of ice.

"The Israel Police asks drivers not to drive on these roads unnecessarily, to exercise caution and to avoid distractions," police said.

"In some places, the police are blocking until the ice thaws and are working to keep the residents and travelers safe. Please obey the police's instructions. A layer of ice on the road can lead to slipping of vehicles and serious road accidents."
