Starnberg - The correct and non-violent handling of stress and conflicts among each other is particularly important for children.

The 18 classes at the Starnberg primary school were therefore allowed to take part in this social skills training course for seven weeks.

Diana Stieber, trainer for resilience and self-assertion, strengthened the 420 students* at the school with the prevention project "Strong even without Muckis" and also got the parents on board in an online lecture. "If we really want to protect children from bullying, everyone has to pull together and deal with conflicts in the same way," says Diana Stieber. Therefore, the college will continue to support the program and will receive training specifically on the topic of bullying prevention in Q1 2022.

The focus of the program was always on two questions: How do children become strong, self-confident personalities who can confidently and purposefully deal with the challenges of everyday school life? And: How can I be happy, even if the environment is demanding or chaotic? The children learned that the right way to deal with arguments and anger can be trained. You were given many helpful tips and tools to deal with conflicts constructively in the future.

It is thanks to several supporters that the whole school can benefit from this project. At the center of the commitment is the support association of the Starnberg primary school, whose board has worked enormously to ensure that all children at the school can take part in this program. Marc Thallmair, CFO of the association, is absolutely enthusiastic about this project and was able to convince himself personally in several course units in the classroom: "The children are very interested and can even present the acting exercises that are done with Ms. Stieber credibly and illustrate for classmates in role-playing games. Due to Ms. Stieber's fantastic positive charisma, the course units are very entertaining, funny, sensitive and really go into the children's souls".

The project was also supported by the Lions Club Starnberger See Ludwig II and the Stiftung der Kreissparkasse München Starnberg Ebersberg, both of which provided substantial donations.

This not only shows a willingness to help, but also a clear awareness of the important topic of “empowering children for the future”.

Strong mindset and sustainable strategies for safe children

The varied and age-appropriate course program took the children into various conflict situations that they experience every day and opened up new ways of thinking and behaving for them.

In several units, the children learned how to deal with the

opinions of other people, insults and provocations, with being unintentionally held, taken away and also with threats of violence, and how to feel strong and courageous in the process.

A highlight of the training was the "Tunnel of Happiness", through which each child was allowed to walk with their eyes closed and to receive many compliments from their classmates.

The children then received a personal protective shield that they could use to remain calm and relaxed and make healthy decisions even in challenging situations.

"I'm convinced," says Diana Stieber, "that every child can take something with them and learn that they themselves have the skills to bring good things into their lives and that they don't have to wait for "the others "To do or not to do something.

I show the children that happiness is not a coincidence, but often a decision.”

The "strong without muscles" concept of founder and head trainer Daniel Duddek has been tried and tested for 14 years and is being carried out successfully throughout Germany.

Well over 60,000 children have already been strengthened.

So now the elementary school students in Starnberg.

Nicole Bannert, the director, sums it up: "Especially in these challenging times, it is particularly important that the children learn how to socialize, because appreciative interaction is of great importance.

The children can now pass on the techniques they have learned to their families and beyond school.

Mrs. Stieber inspires the students and teachers with an enormous, positive energy and gives the program a special shine!“.
