Daraa-Sana
The terrestrial communications and the Internet returned today to about 5450 subscribers in the city of Daraa after the completion of maintenance work and connecting the cables that were cut yesterday by unknown persons with the intent of stealing them.
The director of the Syrian Telecom Company branch, Eng. Ahmed Al-Hariri, said in a statement to SANA’s reporter today that “the network workers made great efforts in harsh weather conditions to restore communications in record time after they were cut off from some neighborhoods of Daraa yesterday after an attempt to steal cables in the Bosra Square area of the city.”
The Director of Communications called on citizens to report any telephone line that is no longer working so that it can be activated immediately.
Communications and internet services were cut off from Al-Kashef Al-Sharqi, Al-Banorama and Al-Qusour neighborhoods as a result of unknown persons cutting five communications cables in Bosra Square with the intention of stealing.
