Hotspot Ebersberg: District cracks the 1000 mark in incidence

Ebersberg is one of the 20 regions in Germany with the most new corona infections.

This is the result of new figures from the Robert Koch Institute.

The incidence in the district of Ebersberg is now 1032.7.

- As of 8 a.m. on Thursday, January 20, 365 new infections with SARS-CoV-2 were reported in the Ebersberg district, more than ever in one day. This was announced by the district office. A week earlier, 205 new cases of infection had occurred compared to the previous day. A total of 1,832 people from the Ebersberg district have currently tested positive for the corona virus. Due to an update bug, the county's Corona dashboard is currently showing a lower number. With the next update, this value will be corrected, according to the district authority. So far, 17,170 citizens have been proven to have tested positive with a PCR test. 15,100 are considered cured, 237 have died. 266 district residents are currently in quarantine because they had contact with an infected person.

The value for the 7-day incidence in the district of Ebersberg as of January 20, 2022, midnight according to the RKI is 1032.7.

This is the worst value in Bavaria after the district of Dachau.

The value indicates how many people per 100,000 inhabitants have been newly infected with the corona virus in the last seven days.

The Ebersberg district has thus exceeded the 1,000 mark for the 7-day incidence for the first time.

Due to the suspension of the local hotspot regulations in the 15th Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance, this has no effect on the corona rules in the Ebersberg district.

14 Covid patients in the district clinic, one in intensive care

According to the district office, 14 patients with Covid 19 disease are currently being treated in the Ebersberg district clinic. Ten come from the district. One person needs to be cared for in the intensive care unit. Four of the patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 are fully vaccinated. There are eleven suspected COVID-19 cases in the clinic.

100,728 people received an initial vaccination in the Ebersberg district.

100,901 district citizens have already been vaccinated for the second time.

79,917 vaccinates received a third vaccination.

The district of Ebersberg has a vaccination rate of 69.91 percent.

70.03 percent are fully vaccinated with the first and second vaccination.

55.46 percent have a third vaccination.

The number of second vaccinations has thus exceeded the number of first vaccinations in the district.

District office: "This shows that the numerous low-threshold vaccination offers in the district of Ebersberg are not only accepted by the citizens of the district, but also by those of other districts."
