Tokyo-Sana

Today, Japan recorded a new record for the number of coronavirus infections for the third consecutive day.

The Kyodo News Agency quoted the Japanese Ministry of Health as saying that 8,638 cases of the Corona virus were recorded during the past 24 hours, exceeding the previous record recorded yesterday, which amounted to 7,377 infections.

Since the first infection with the virus was recorded in the country in January of the year 2020, the total number of infections has so far exceeded two million.

Yesterday, the Japanese government declared a partial state of emergency in 13 prefectures, including Tokyo, amid a sharp rise in Corona injuries, in an attempt to limit the spread of infection among its citizens.
