Czech Republic: pile-up on the highway towards Prague
After a sudden snowfall, there was a pile-up on the D5 motorway towards Prague near Horovice in the Czech Republic on Thursday (January 20).
Around 25 vehicles are involved in the crash.
There should be 14 trucks and 22 cars, the police and emergency services said via Twitter.
The number of people involved in the accident was initially unclear.

Mass crash on the highway near Prague - section completely closed
The scene of the accident was divided into three sections.
An evacuation bus for uninjured was requested.
The A5 motorway is completely closed in both directions for rescue and clearance work.
Traffic will be diverted, police said.
The scene of the accident is around 50 kilometers south-west of Prague.
The motorway is part of the European route E50, which connects the Czech capital with Nuremberg.
The Czech police meanwhile warns of further freak weather in the next few hours.
The road conditions in southern Moravia were already difficult at noon.
