Rudelzhausen reacts to the trend towards urn burials.
Soon there will also be independent urn graves in the community cemeteries.
Rudelzhausen
– family graves are comparatively expensive to buy and maintain. More and more people are therefore opting for an urn grave. However, there will be no urn walls, as elsewhere, in the municipal cemeteries. In its most recent meeting, the municipal council opted instead for so-called "urn tube graves" that are embedded in the ground.
These are grave sites with four urn places each, which are covered by a grave slab, as Mayor Michael Krumbucher now announced in the municipal council.
The plate, which can be engraved, remains the property of the municipality, he clarified.
Although the lids are easy to care for, no floral decorations should be placed on them.
According to an offer from a Freiburg company, there are a total of 16 urn grave systems, the acquisition of which causes costs of almost 15,000 euros.
The allocation to the cemeteries is as follows: 32 urn places are provided for Rudelzhausen, 16 places each for Tegernbach and Hebrontshausen.
Cemetery fees adjusted
In the course of the innovation, the cemetery and burial statutes as well as the cemetery fee statutes have now been adjusted accordingly.
Accordingly, an urn grave for a family with four places costs 3200 euros.
For a single urn tube grave in a four-tube 800 euros are due.
The useful life is 20 years.
An extension for a further 20 years is possible.
"The price is reasonable," explained Krumbucher, pointing out that it was compared to cemeteries in other communities.
(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)
The enactment of the statutes and the award to said company were undisputed in the committee, a debate did not take place.
The topic of urn graves came up in March last year.
Krumbucher initially wanted to start at the Rudelzhausen cemetery.
Now, however, the decision has been made to go for the total package.
As was found out when the town hall asked, it will still be a while before the new urn burial sites are available.
They still have to be installed, explained branch manager Lorenz Söckler.
