The carnage on the roads:
A serious accident occurred today (Thursday) between a truck and several vehicles on Road 2 near the Zichron Yaacov interchange.
A 70-year-old man trapped in one of the vehicles was killed, and 14 other people were lightly and moderately injured.
MDA forces who arrived at the scene evacuated the wounded to hospitals. MDA paramedic Adnan Abu Rumi said: "There was a big commotion when we arrived at the scene. We saw that it was a very serious accident between a truck and a large number of private vehicles. A 70-year-old man was trapped in the back seat "The vehicle was without signs of life and after being rescued we had to determine his death. 14 other wounded who were walking around the place were lightly and moderately injured and were evacuated to the hospitals while providing medical treatment."
Police have begun investigating the circumstances of the accident.
Following the incident, Road 2 from the Zichron Yaacov interchange to the south was closed.
