Six people were injured today as a result of a huge collision between dozens of cars and trucks caused by heavy snowfalls southwest of the Czech capital Prague.
The Associated Press quoted police as saying: About 40 cars and trucks collided with each other on the D5 road, one of the main roads linking the capital, Prague, with Germany, injuring six people, two of them seriously.
The police added: The road will remain closed for several hours.
The Hydrometeorological Institute had warned of snowfalls that would occur today in the Czech Republic.
