"The Xandi is a man from a very rich family who is constantly being chauffeured around and served, somehow he is a visitor all the time.

“In preparation for the role, I was in taxis and restaurants a lot myself, eating and drinking what he would eat and drink.

Yes, that was intense,” he says.

By the way, also physically: Singer has eaten up 15 kilos for the role.

At Christmas time, wonderful.

"Only getting down was a bit more difficult," he comments dryly.

It doesn't matter, the massive body just suited the role better.

"Because you're a bit flared on one side and you don't feel comfortable with more weight.

But on the other hand, this heavy body also acts like armor, a protection for the Xandi from the world.

This physical change has done a lot for me and for my game.”

Even as a boy, Singer dreamed of becoming an actor.

He first appeared on stage at the age of twelve and has since had engagements at the Volkstheater in Vienna, for example.

This was followed by television appearances such as in "Der Taucher" or "L'Animale".

"I always had an idea of ​​what the acting profession could be like, the optimal version of it," says Singer.

"And I'll tell you: I was given everything at the 'Pass'.

I've never experienced anything like this before.

That was just a gift.

The role, the team, the whole production, that was a gift of life.”
