The Pass continues!

The second season of the Alpine crime series with Julia Jentsch and Nicholas Ofczarek is now starting on Sky.

A real discovery is Dominic Marcus Singer.

He plays the serial killer.

And how!

After talking to Dominic Marcus Singer, you'd like to yell, "Stay the way you are." But because that sounds too much like a poetry album, you don't.

Wishes the Austrian actor without a word: that he may remain true to himself in the sometimes vain world of film.

Singer has now taken a big step in this: the 28-year-old plays the main role in season two of "Der Pass", which is now starting on Sky.

In eight episodes he mimes sex offender Alexander Gössen.

And he seems to do it with such ease that you're a little afraid of interviewing him over the phone.

Is it really just acting?

Dominic Marcus Singer is THE discovery in "The Passport 2"

No sooner has the question been asked than genuinely friendly laughter rings out on the other side of the line.

Yes, he's really gotten into "Xandi", as Singer almost affectionately calls the serial killer he plays.

I really got into the role.

This means?

"The Xandi is a man from a very rich family who is constantly being chauffeured around and served, somehow he is a visitor all the time.

He looks turned off.

A lost guy,” says Singer.

“In preparation for the role, I was in taxis and restaurants a lot myself, eating and drinking what he would eat and drink.

Yes, that was intense,” he says.

By the way, also physically: Singer has eaten up 15 kilos for the role.

At Christmas time, wonderful.

"Only getting down was a bit more difficult," he comments dryly.

It doesn't matter, the massive body just suited the role better.

"Because you're a bit flared on one side and you don't feel comfortable with more weight.

But on the other hand, this heavy body also acts like armor, a protection for the Xandi from the world.

This physical change has done a lot for me and for my game.”

"The Passport 2" was a "gift of life" for Dominic Marcus Singer

Even as a boy, Singer dreamed of becoming an actor.

He first appeared on stage at the age of twelve and has since had engagements at the Volkstheater in Vienna, for example.

This was followed by television appearances such as in "Der Taucher" or "L'Animale".

"I always had an idea of what the acting profession could be like, the optimal version of it," says Singer.

"And I'll tell you: I was given everything at the 'Pass'.

I've never experienced anything like this before.

That was just a gift.

The role, the team, the whole production, that was a gift of life.”

"Der Pass 2" can be seen in double episodes on Sky One from January 21, 2022 and as a complete season on Sky Ticket and Sky Q.
