Homs, SANA- The workshops and mechanisms of the Technical Services Directorate in Homs continue to remove the accumulated snow on the roads

The workshops and mechanisms of the Technical Services Directorate in Homs continue to remove the accumulated snow on the roads and open vital roads in the countryside of the governorate.

In a statement to SANA’s reporter, Amin Al-Issa, director of services, said that the workshops work on four main axes “Homs-Damascus axis”, Al-Bureij and Hassya area, “where salt was sprayed on the highway and the mechanisms are continuing to work on it until now, the “Homs Al-Farqlus” axis, and the “Homs Dahr Al-Qusayr road” axis. Which serves more than 50 villages and is a mountain road where the snow has been removed and the road opened.

He added that the mechanisms are continuing work to remove the accumulated snow on the axis of "Maqlis al-Mazraa Wadi al-Nadari", which connects Wadi al-Nadari with Dahr al-Qusair, which is currently passable.

The Director of Technical Services confirmed that the mechanisms and workshops are ready 24 hours a day to deal with any emergency, and are located at several focal points in the governorate.

In a related context, Fouad Mahfoud, Mayor of Al-Maranah, explained that the technical services workshops, in cooperation with the Shen district and the Municipality of Al-Maranah, worked to open the road and secure the cars that transport bread to the villages of Jabalaya and Tisa Al-Jard, stressing their readiness to face any emergency due to weather conditions.
