The Traffic Department of the Ministry of Interior announced that some roads in the governorates of Damascus Countryside, Hama, Lattakia, Tartous and Sweida are impassable or impassable with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow and ice formation.
The administration indicated in its bulletin this evening, including the state of the roads, as follows:
Rif Dimashq Governorate: The roads leading to the Rankous district are impassable due to the formation of snow, the Haush Arab-Rankous Road and the roads leading to the Zabadani area are impassable due to the formation of ice and the accumulation of snow.
Hama Governorate: Gorin-Slenefeh road, Shatah-Jobah Bargal road, Qardah-Ain al-Krum road, and Ain Halaqim-Beit Yashut-Parshin-Tin road, the way is impassable due to the formation of ice and the accumulation of snow. All roads leading to Masyaf are difficultly passable due to the formation of ice.
Lattakia Governorate: Joubet Burgal-Al-Ghab Road, Al-Markiya-Maqamat Bani Hashem Road, Al-Qardah-Al-Sha’ra-Al-Ghab Road, Harf Al-Masitra-Qaranda-Jobah Burgal-Al-Ghab Road, Beit Yashout-Bashili-Al-Sha’ara Road, and Slunfa-Broadcasting Station-Al-Ghab Road is impassable due to the accumulation of snow and the formation of Snow, the roads of Beit Yashout-Al Sha'ara, Beit Yashut-Halabko, Dalia-Maarin Batmoush, Beit Yashout-Manizla, Hammam Al-Qahrahla-Bastawir-Kharayeb Salem are impassable with difficulty due to the formation of ice and the accumulation of snow.
Tartous Governorate: The Greenat-Kafr Gawaya-Broadcasting Station road is difficultly accessible due to the accumulation of snow and ice formation.
As-Suwayda Governorate: The roads leading to Salkhad and its environs, As-Suwayda-Dahr al-Jabal, Qanawat-Mafalat al-Taybeh, Shahba-Namirah Tema-Um Zahib-Shaqa, and the roads leading to al-Mashnaf sub-district are passable due to the formation of ice.
The Traffic Department advised drivers to be careful, especially during the formation of snow or the occurrence of frost, fog and rain, and the need to ensure the technical readiness of the vehicle from the effectiveness of the brakes, windshield wipers, fog eliminators, front and rear lights, vehicle battery, tire safety, adherence to the signs that specify speeds, gradually reducing speed on curves and slopes, and maintaining A real safety distance with other vehicles and avoiding distracting behaviors such as using a mobile phone or reading.
The Traffic Department allocated the numbers 5422703 and 5411365 to inquire about the condition of the roads.
