The Taliban recently announced that a special suicide battalion would be set up within the new Afghan army with the aim of carrying out operations to defend the homeland.
The new information was provided by a number of spokesmen for the organization, including who is considered the official spokesman for the Taliban - Zabihullah Mujahideen.
"Our holy Mujahideen will be part of the Afghan army but they will be a special force that will be directly subordinate to the Ministry of Defense with the aim that they will carry out special operations for the country," he said.
The Taliban's deputy spokesman, Bilal Karimi, expanded and explained that "these forces will work to defend the country" when the intention is to defend against ISIS attacks.

"Our victory over the Americans would not have been possible without this battalion. These are people who are literally fearless. They wore explosives on their bodies and went out to hit American bases."
Those who received the new message with concern are members of various international organizations, who claim that this is a war crime.
Afghan activist Harazed Akbar, chairman of the country's independent human rights commission, described the decision as "horrific and shocking".
