Traffic chaos in the district of Ebersberg: The snowfall brought the evening commuter traffic to a standstill on Thursday.

There was a standstill in almost every direction.

The police and fire brigade went on numerous missions.

District

- After heavy snowfall on the evening of Thursday, January 20th, roadways that were as smooth as glass in places severely disrupted the evening commuter traffic.

There has been traffic chaos in several places since 4:30 p.m.

For example, nothing worked in Ebersberg for a long time after a truck got stuck in Heinrich-Vogl-Straße.

Many commuters broke off the journey home.

B304 and routes through the forest: stationary traffic

The B 304 in the direction of Munich was temporarily tight in both directions, accidents also occurred on the state road 2080 through the forest, and the road had to be temporarily closed at Schwaberwegen (Forstinning municipality).

Police, rescue workers and road maintenance were constantly on duty.

There were also problems on the Ebersberg - Hohenlinden route.

A spokesman for the fire brigade advised against non-essential trips.

The clearing vehicles had problems getting through in many places, the streets were blocked with waiting cars.

The wintry weather is expected to continue for the next few days, according to meteorologists.

Heavy snowfalls are to be expected, especially on Saturday
