Located in Tung Tau, Yuen Long, the "Tong Xin Village" project is one of the large-scale transitional housing projects. It will construct 8 blocks of 4-storey residential buildings using the "Assembly and Synthesis" construction method, providing a total of 1,800 units.

The unit types include 1-person units, 2-person units, 3-person units, 4-5 person units and barrier-free units, more than half of which are 2-person and 3-person units.

The unit size ranges from about 130 square feet to 324 square feet, and the monthly accommodation permit fee ranges from $2,370 to $4,950, which is lower than the market rent and not higher than 40% of the current PRH income limit.

The period of stay is two years.

If the tenants have special reasons or special difficulties and real needs after the expiration of their tenancy agreement, the Welfare Association will try their best to let them live until they get their first public housing allocation.

The entire project is expected to operate until 2028, and the lease term is expected to benefit about 5,000 families.

The accommodation permit fee includes government rent, rates and management fees. For CSSA-receiving households, the accommodation permit fee must be paid at the maximum amount of the CSSA rental allowance.
