Aich's recycling center is now at the sports field

The fire brigade in Aich needs space for its extension and conversion.
Therefore, the waste management company of the district of Fürstenfeldbruck (AWB) had to relocate the small recycling center that was previously located on Weiherweg.
Fürstenfeldbruck – Anyone who has to dispose of cans, bottles and waste paper must now drive to Nannhofener Straße near the sports field.
The city had already approached the AWB about a year and a half ago about the change of location.
But it's not that easy to find a suitable area for the small recycling center.
"Even if you only need 40 square meters," explains waste consultant Stefan Zöllner.
A dedicated public space is also needed.
According to Zöllner, the rental of such an area is financially moderately interesting for private individuals.

However, there is one aspect that causes him a little concern when it comes to the transfer.
"Social control was better at the old location," emphasizes Zöllner.
In the middle of the town, the inhibition threshold is to dump rubbish wildly, but a tad bigger.
Especially since a water shaft was discovered at the initially planned location on Nannhofener Straße.
"Now the recycling center is a little further out," states Zöllner.
Eight containers are waiting for material on Nannhofener Strasse in Aich.
According to the Zöllner, the waste paper containers in particular are to be emptied and replaced twice a week.
The AWB employee explains that it will be observed how the new small recyclable material is accepted and whether the rhythm is sufficient.
Nevertheless, his appeal to the citizens remains: "Crush up large cardboard boxes as best you can." And if larger quantities accumulate in the household at the weekend, it is sometimes better to drive to the large recycling center.
Because then the containers at the little brother won't overflow so quickly.
