A professional cleaner does not understand: Why do you clean with bleach?
(@thebigcleanco)
Some people clean everything with bleach. No wonder surveys conducted around the world have shown that bleach is the most popular detergent in households for years. However, not all of you are aware that bleach can do more harm than good, especially when it comes to cleaning certain surfaces.
Bleach is a very strong chemical cleaner so it can cause a bad reaction when it comes in contact with several surfaces in your home. The British "Sun" warned readers not to make the common mistake of cleaning the whole house with bleach - when other, safer and no less useful detergents can be used.
For example, wood is a surface that should not be used in cleaning bleach. Whether it is a dining table or a wooden floor, the wood will absorb any bleach because of its porous nature. Such a combination will cause distortion and discoloration. In this case, it is better to use a cleaning agent designed for wooden surfaces.
Bleach should also not be used on stainless steel, as it creates corrosion on metal and can damage the surface.
Corrosion can also occur when chromium and copper react to bleach.
Instead, use a dedicated metal cleaner or polishing metal.
It's also dangerous
Regular use of bleach can cause lung disease

Another area that should be kept away from bleach is granite or marble countertops.
Although they look "tough", the stone surfaces are just as porous as wood.
Bleach can damage or stain the stone, making your beautiful surfaces look dull and colorless.
To avoid expensive renovations, use a simple household cleaner or whatever the manufacturer recommends instead of bleach.

Another item to avoid cleaning with bleach is your cell phone (is there anyone who does this?).
It is known that phones are usually infected with bacteria and therefore should be cleaned with the same alcohol that you sprayed on a clean cloth or paper towel or use disinfectant wipes designed for phones.
Bleach may damage the protective coating on the screen or even ruin the phone if it enters through one of the openings.

Although this may sound like common sense: do not use bleach when it comes to products that have a condition that will reach the digestive tract. Even very little of this substance can be life-threatening when swallowed. So do not clean even pet products with bleach. Toys, food bowls and crates can be cleaned with water and mild dish soap. Similarly, do not use bleach to clean children's toys. It is difficult to wash the bleach completely, and the risk of a child swallowing bleach is not a risk worth taking. Stick to dish soap and hot water - or use a washing machine or dishwasher if possible.
Bleach should probably not be used to wash your food. To keep the food clean, store it at the right temperature or rinse with cold water before consuming it in case of fruits and vegetables.
Finally, be sure to avoid using bleach when making yourself a detergent in combination with other solutions.
When preparing your own cleaning products at home, do not mix bleach with other solutions.
Bleach combined with ammonia, vinegar or alcohol can produce extremely dangerous toxic fumes.
It is wise not to use bleach in parallel with other cleaning products, and if you still insist on making a homemade disinfectant with bleach - mix it only with water.
