The government announced this morning that in response to the discovery of two more preliminary positive test cases yesterday at Ying Kwai House, Kwai Chung Estate, who had lived at the above site, Ying Kwai House will be required to enclose the upper site for testing from 4:00 a.m.
The statement stated that people who have been restricted to the designated "restricted area" in Kwai Chung (i.e. Ying Kwai House, Kwai Chung Estate) since 4:00 this morning must stay on their premises and undergo compulsory testing.
Persons to be tested must wait at their premises until all identified persons in the "restricted area" have completed their tests and the relevant test results have been roughly confirmed, before leaving their premises.
The government aims to complete the operation by about 7pm today.
The outbreak in Yat Kwai House, Kwai Chung Village was caused by an infected Pakistani man who entered the building to pick up objects. A cleaner who worked in Yat Kwai House and lived in Ying Kwai House was suspected of being infected by him and brought the virus to Ying Kwai House. .
In addition to the cleaner, there is also a two-year-old child and another person in Ying Kui Building who were initially diagnosed.
