Various products at bargain prices.

This is offered by non-food discounters such as Kik or Tedi.

But now another chain is starting an expansion offensive in Germany.

Zwaagdijk-oost/Netherlands - Whether cheap decoration, clothing, toys or kitchen accessories.

Discounters like Kik or Tedi* offer almost everything a saver's heart desires.

Because there you can often shop very cheaply.

But the two big chains are no longer the only ones on the market - there is a risk of competition.

Action: Dutch non-food discounter plans expansion in Germany

Slowly but surely, another brand is spreading in addition to the well-known providers.

The Dutch non-food discounter Action is expanding more and more in Germany.

The big offensive is to start this year – up to 50 new branches are to be opened.

This is reported by the

Lebensmittelzeitung

.

But Action doesn't just want to expand in Germany.

The whole of Europe is to be supplied with even more branches in the future.

With the expansion comes a change in leadership at Action for Germany.

It has not yet been announced who will then take over the management of the German business.

Hajir Hajji has been at the head of the group at its headquarters in the Netherlands since January 1st.

The 41-year-old Dutchwoman started at Action in 1997 as a cashier – now she is CEO.

Kik, Tedi and Action: This is what the discounters offer

Action is already available in nine countries with over 2,000 branches*, 400 of them in Germany.

The focus is particularly on low prices.

Action advertises on its website that it offers at least 1,500 products for less than one euro.

The concept is very similar to that of the competition.

What has worked successfully for years at Aldi* and Lidl alongside the grocery store, Kik, Tedi and Action have made it their main business.

Changing promotional goods from a wide variety of product categories at super low prices.

And the strategy often works.

Anyone who enters the discounter often leaves with more products than originally planned.

After all, they were bargains.
