The corona numbers and incidence values are also rising steeply in the Weilheim-Schongau district.
The 1000 mark could soon be exceeded.
Statistics from the health department now show which age groups and communities are particularly affected.
District – As can be seen from the graphic that the health department made available to the local newspaper on request, in the past seven days (as of Wednesday) there were by far the most corona diseases among 15 to 24 year olds, closely followed from five to 15 year olds.
For adults over 24, the numbers are relatively constant in the individual age groups, with a significant drop in people over 60 who are currently hardly infected - good news, because they are most at risk of becoming seriously ill with a Covid infection.
Incidence of the unvaccinated about four times higher than that of the vaccinated
The incidences of the individual communities are also interesting: They vary from 174.7 in Raisting, where there were only four cases within seven days, and 2496.8 in Obersöchering (39 cases).
When the local newspaper last polled at the beginning of December, Obersöchering was at the top with an incidence value of more than 1800.
Incidentally, the incidence of the vaccinated is 378.49, among the unvaccinated 1431.36.

Because the number of infections has doubled within a week and the health department expects a further unchecked increase, the authority assumes that the 1000 mark will soon be exceeded.
This does not result in any further restrictions for the time being, because the state government has suspended the so-called "hotspot regulation" from the Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance, which provided for extensive restrictions from an incidence of 1000, until further notice.
In view of the exploding numbers, the health department is currently no longer able to keep up with the contact – “despite the utmost commitment of all employees”.
The contact tracing team had already been increased in terms of personnel at the beginning of the fourth wave and will continue to be supported in their work by the Bundeswehr.
"The team works together to the limit and beyond," says the district office.
Contact tracing issues
Contact persons have not been contacted by the health department since the end of October.
Even with the so-called index cases, i.e. district citizens with a positive PCR test, the number has increased so much that they can no longer be contacted individually in a timely manner in every case.
"So far, all new infections can still be reported to the RKI on a daily basis.
So far, the incidence in our district has corresponded to the actual incidence of infection," emphasizes the health department.
The health department appeals to citizens to act on their own responsibility
However, if the number of new infections continues to rise rapidly, it can be assumed that there will be a delay in reporting – “even if we try to avoid this situation”.
The entire team at the health department asks all citizens for proactive help and to exercise their own responsibility: "Everyone who confirms a positive case must go into quarantine themselves and inform their contact persons immediately."
All information for contact persons and the duration of the quarantine is available on the website of the Weilheim-Schongau district office at www.weilheim-schongau.de.
