The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran announced the Iranian-Russian cooperation to build two new nuclear plants in Bushehr, in the south of the country.
The organization's spokesman, Behrouz Kamalvandi, told reporters today, according to Fars Agency: "The construction of these two plants is in the context of Iran's goal to raise nuclear electricity generation in the country to 10,000 megawatts.
He pointed out that Iran and Russia's cooperation in the field of peaceful nuclear technology is progressing well and includes the energy sector and other fields such as the production of radioactive drugs, industry, agriculture and other peaceful sectors.
