An 18-year-old student died in an accident that occurred in the afternoon in a company in Lauzacco (Udine).
From what ANSA learns, the boy was on his last day of internship in a School-Work Alternation project.
During metal carpentry work in a mechanical company, a beam fell on him, killing him.
The boy was a resident of Castions di Strada (Udine) and attended the Bearzi Higher Institute in Udine.
The fall of the heavy beam killed the student instantly.
The victim of the accident - who had turned 18 at the end of November - was attending a PCTO project - Pathways for transversal skills and orientation - the old School-Work Alternation, by virtue of an agreement between the high school that he attended in Udine and a mechanical company that deals with making road scales.
The parents immediately rushed to the scene of the tragedy.
Investigations underway by the Carabinieri of Palmanova and the inspectors of the health company: the deputy attorney on duty from Udine has already arrived at the scene of the tragedy.
The area of the tragedy has been cordoned off and will be seized to try to establish any third party liability.
The head office of the company, which operates in the metal carpentry sector, is located in Buttrio (Udine), while the Lauzacco plant, where the drama took place, deals exclusively with lamination.
