New colonies of penguins discovered in Antarctica

The Green Space expedition announced the discovery of a new colony of penguins, which includes 75 gentoo chicks, on Anderson Island on the eastern side of the Antarctic Peninsula.

And Sputnik reported that this discovery was caused by changes related to the growing global warming crisis, which are largely caused by the continuous burning of fossil fuels.

The Gentoo penguin has a distinctive appearance with a white stripe on its head, a bright reddish beak and a long tail. It is the third largest penguin species after the emperor and king penguin, and can reach a length of 90 cm. It is also the fastest penguin when it comes to swimming underwater. It has a top speed of 22 miles per hour.
