There will be no counter-demonstration to the "walkers" next Monday in Wolfratshausen.

The reason: The extremely high incidence in the district.

Wolfratshausen/Bad Tölz – Town hall chief Klaus Heilinglechner is reportedly “not happy” that the Loisachstadt is “developing into a hotspot for so-called walkers”. He fears that the tolerance that the district office allows will attract more and more critics of the corona measures and conspiracy theorists from the wider area to Wolfratshausen Monday after Monday. In any case, the group "WOR tolerant" will not be present in the city next Monday. The reason is the currently extremely high incidence in the district.

The mayor does not want to rule out that "extreme groups" misuse the previously unregistered protest marches of "walkers" - according to the police count, there were 950 people recently - for their own purposes.

Therefore, the city now wants to "exhaust all legal means at its disposal," announced the head of the town hall in an interview with our newspaper.

But when it comes to the right of assembly, the district authority in Bad Tölz is in charge.

According to Heilinglechner, the municipality's hands are tied without "the backing of the legal supervisory authority".

District office in Bad Tölz wants to comment on "walks".

The mayor made his position clear on Thursday in a conversation with representatives of the district office and the Wolfratshausen police. Heilinglechner kept silent after the conversation when asked. The press spokeswoman for the district office, Marlis Peischer, could only be elicited: So far, “no meetings” have been registered for Monday in the rafting town. And what about the so-called walks? "We will comment on this on Friday," announced Peischer. Will there be a general decree based on the example of the city of Munich, based on which "walks" are prohibited if the organizer does not report the protest rally to the authorities? "We will inform you on Friday," Peischer repeated politely but firmly.

The "WOR tolerant" group, which was launched at the beginning of January and whose Facebook page now has more than 380 fans, will definitely not register a meeting in Loisachstadt with the district authority for next Monday evening. After the seven-day incidence in the district exceeded the 1000 mark for the first time on Thursday, the initiative believes it would be counterproductive to mobilize people to demonstrate in the city center in the largest possible number. According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the incidence value in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district rose by almost 200 to 1015.5 within 24 hours. This is the third highest value in Bavaria, the incidence is currently only higher in the districts of Dachau (1076) and Ebersberg (1032.7). For the Free State, the RKI reported a value of 661 on Wednesday.

Extremely high incidence: Monday no demonstration of "WOR tolerant"

"Due to the extremely high incidence values in our district, we have decided not to register a meeting for next Monday," Peter Lobenstein told our newspaper. In a statement sent by email a little later, he and Konrad Huber, Gerald Bruschek, Andrea Beck, Dr. Ulrike Krischke and Ines Lobenstein for "WOR tolerant": As important as it is "to show presence as a civil society and to send a clear signal for solidarity in the pandemic and against anti-democratic tendencies, we want to show at the moment that we Recognize Corona with its risks and do not want to overload the public bodies and the people who work in the medical practices and hospitals for the health of all of us with our actions".

Andreas Richter, who has organized two registered counter-demos in Bad Tölz so far, makes a similar statement.

"Due to the extremely high incidence, we are canceling the event," he explains to Andreas Richter.

"We don't want to endanger anyone."

The initiative demands an “open visor” from so-called walkers

The initiative "WOR tolerant" meanwhile emphasizes to act in the discussion with an "open visor" - and demands the same from the "walkers".

A "clear message" is expected from the authorities: Videos from last Monday evening would show that the so-called walkers in the old town stopped and brought the "traffic flow" to a standstill.

So it was "clearly" a meeting - an unannounced one.

According to Peter Lobenstein, the decision not to register a demo was made with a view to next Monday.

"We will discuss" whether and in what form the "walkers" will be opposed in the future.

The approach of "WOR tolerant" is partly determined by the development of the corona incidence.

In addition, the decision made by the legal supervisory authority in Bad Tölz with regard to the "walkers" will "of course" play a role.
