A woman from Nuremberg has been in prison for more than four years for fraud.

The 29-year-old cheated two men out of 360,000 euros and faked her own death.

Nuremberg – A woman from Nuremberg* has to be behind bars for four years and three months.

The 29-year-old cheated two men, 61 and 70 years old, from the districts of Fürth and Forchheim out of 361,000 euros.

Nuremberg “marriage swindler” even faked her own death

In order to get so much money out of the pockets of the two injured men, the fraudster came up with all sorts of incidents.

She faked illnesses, pregnancy, and eventually even her own death.

The prosecution originally assumed almost 400,000 euros, but the sum shrank to 361,000 euros in the course of the evidence. One of the central questions of the main hearing before the Nuremberg-Fürth district court was which of the amounts were donated and which were borrowed, reports

.

The prosecutor assumed the loan had never been repaid and demanded six years in prison, while the defense spoke of gifts and stated that the men had to blame themselves for the damage.

She demanded acquittal, at most a sentence whose execution could be suspended on probation.

The judges of the 12th Trial Chamber ultimately sentenced the 29-year-old to four years and three months in prison.

The main hearing began in November 2021, but had to be reopened due to the illness of a lay judge.
