Herrsching - Tree felling is pending in the municipality of Herrsching.
According to the municipality, they are necessary to ensure traffic safety.
Among other things, according to the press release, old silver willows are felled at Mühlfeld 8 (Herrschinger Segelclub) and in Fischergasse (green area on the Kienbach near the bridge to Kienbachstraße).
The tree inspector had informed the community in spring 2021 that the trees would have to be felled at short notice from an economic point of view, due to severe static damage and the resulting acute traffic hazard.

After spring was already in full swing, the municipality decided to secure the trees for the next few months with makeshift tree care measures, thus enabling birds, bats and other residents to successfully complete the rearing of the young.
In order to avoid further short-term effective and expensive safety measures, the trees are now being felled.
Tree felling work will begin on Monday, January 24th.
