On Friday morning there was almost a head-on collision on the B2 near Alling due to a dangerous overtaking maneuver.
The police are now looking for witnesses.
Germering – At around 7.50 a.m., a 55-year-old Althegnenberger drove his gray BMW car along the B2 federal road from Fürstenfeldbruck in the direction of Munich.
Between the Hoflach exit and Roggensteiner Allee, a truck came towards him, which was overtaken by another vehicle.
This car met Althegnenberger head-on on his lane.
The BMW driver was able to just dodge to the right and avoid a head-on collision, the police reported.
However, he touched the crash barrier with his right side of the vehicle.
Several headlights on the pick-up - search for witnesses
This resulted in considerable property damage, which is estimated at a high four-digit value. The driver of the car that overtook the truck simply drove on without fulfilling his legal obligations. He is therefore considered the cause of the accident. The Germering police have started the investigation and are asking for your help after other vehicles that may have observed the incident, including the truck that was overtaken, continued their journey.
According to the police, the vehicle that caused the accident was a dark pick-up with an open loading area.
He was noticeably dirty and had about six to eight headlights on at the front.
Anyone who can provide relevant information about the pick-up, such as a partial number plate, an inscription or the like, is asked to contact the responsible police in Germering on telephone (089) 8941570.
