It is already the third illegally operated school in Bavaria that police officers from Middle Franconia have now uncovered.

They met 15 students in Erlangen.

Erlangen - again.

The police in Erlangen* discovered an illegally operated school during a search of a property.

Such a facility was discovered and closed near Rosenheim* last year.

And there was also evidence of an unauthorized school in the Lower Franconian district of Miltenberg*.

It was also closed.

During a search of a property in the Eltersdorf district of Erlangen by the Central Franconia police *, 15 school-age children were discovered.

They were found there on Thursday (January 20) during regular school hours, the city of Erlangen said on Friday.

The government of Middle Franconia then temporarily banned the operation of the facility.

Illegal school in Erlangen: There were indications of such a facility as early as 2021

The authorities had been following up on indications of unauthorized school operations since November. During controls, however, no children of school age were initially found. After further information, the city now obtained a judicial search warrant. Confiscated documents and objects are now being evaluated. The city and government of Middle Franconia did not initially give any further details. So far it is also unclear whether the school can be attributed to the lateral thinkers or Reichsbürger camp.

An administrative offense procedure is running, it said.

The city announced that the children and young people had been handed over to their parents.

The search was assisted by police officers as part of administrative assistance.

Special forces from the support command (USK) Mittelfranken were also there.

In addition to the facility, a private property in the nearby Eltersdorf district of Erlangen was also searched.

Parents could face fines for their children's unexcused absence from class.

Up to 1000 euros per procedure are in the room.

In September, authorities had banned the operation of an unauthorized school in an old farm in the district of Rosenheim, where around 50 children and young people had been taught.

A possibly illegally operated school was also closed in the Lower Franconian district of Miltenberg.
